Just one year after winning our second award for our domestic products we have achieved another milestone by winning the "Industrial/Commercial Heating Product Of The Year" in H&V News Awards for Excellence 2003.

The judging panel said the development of Keston's boiler rig system demonstrated clear thinking, and was an excellent way of reducing potential difficulties for installers on site. the judges recognised that pre-fabrication would have to play a greater part in the future of the industry and added that of site commissioning of complex heating equipment would prove an excellent step forward. This combined with the use of condensing technology, put Keston "a step ahead", the judges added.

After our initial success with the Original Domestic Keston range of condensing boilers boilers went one step further to win the same award again to become the first company ever to win the "Domestic H&V Product Of The Year" in H&V News Awards for Excellence twice.

The Keston Duet was said to be a popular choice with the judging panel, which was made up of experts drawn from all sectors of the building services industry. Commenting on the winning product it was said, " Keston Duet has astoundingly low NOx with emissions of less than 5ppm which have independently tested to Class 5 by Advantica.

The boiler is also very energy efficient with a SEDBUK 'A' rating of 90.4 % at gross seasonal level and 97 % at peak. The incredibly small 50mm muPVC flue system was another feature that caught the eye and was described as 'very unusual'.

This attribute was acknowledged as a great advantage in retrofitting. Additionally, the boiler/hot water system is supplied pre-assembled so on-site mechanical work only involves connection of the flue, radiators and taps, while the electrics are pre-wired and simply require the supply of mains power and the connection of a room thermostat".

In recognition of its efforts in the development of advanced design and high quality products Keston Boilers Ltd has been awarded the "Domestic H&V Product Of The Year" in H&V News Awards for Excellence 1995.

The panel for the annual award scheme described the boilers as "truly innovative, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products".

Factors which helped it win the award were its efficiency in non-condensing as well as condensing mode, low NOx emissions of less than 5ppm, ease of installation and maintenance and its flexible plastic flue arrangement.
