KESTON EXPANDS TO MEET CUSTOMER NEEDS
As part of its policy to constantly improve customer service, Keston has expanded its service division to provide
broader geographic coverage across the UK. Keston aims to improve response times and also offer potential and existing customers
technical support, both on and off-site.
Despite the overall contraction of the construction industry, Keston has invested in a new fleet of fully
equipped service vehicles and a team of highly skilled engineers based throughout the UK. All engineers are linked
electronically to Keston’s HQ in Hayes, backed up with the latest in diagnostic equipment and spare parts stock,
ensuring a faster and more flexible response to on-site needs. The team is lead by Simon Hall, who provides a wealth of
technical knowledge and experience, with many years in the service business, most recently working for Warmsure.
In addition to reacting to breakdown issues, this network is intended to assist busy installers and
contractors, who don’t have the time to attend manufacturer training-sessions, to understand the nuances of
Keston’s products. Technical support will be readily available, either at the end of a phone, or physically,
with an engineer sent to a particular site.
Nick Whitwell commented, “During my first year as Managing Director of Keston it became very clear
that the company needed to develop its after-sales support. Moving its warranty cover to a standard two years was the
first action - all Keston boilers are now covered by this two-year no quibble guarantee – improvements to the
service division is the next step, helping Keston to cement strong relationships with installers and contractors alike.
“Keston provides heating solutions that might prove unattractive or complex to other manufacturers.
Some of these solutions are very sophisticated, such as bespoke multi-boiler rigs; some are simple - Keston boilers can be
flued with 50mm muPVC waste pipe. The expansion to our service division allows us to support installers and contractors
across the entire Keston range, which is set to increase with the inclusion of air source heat pumps. The average boiler
engineer may not have experience of more complex or new technologies, and in the case of Keston solutions, how these
technologies fit together.”
