Keston Boilers did not have to venture far to complete the recent supply of 66 Duet heating systems for 78 two and three-bedroom luxury apartments. The flats are located in 74 acres of protected parkland at Bryant Homes’ Holwood development in Keston, less than half a mile from the company’s head office in Hayes, Bromley.

Nick Stevenson, managing director of Keston Boilers, said: “The design called for the flues in all the apartments to exit the building via the roof and only Keston could achieve this specification. Following a demonstration of the Duet at our factory in Hayes to the development’s design team, Keston was commissioned to supply these units both at the Holwood site, and at one of the company’s other developments at TW Grand Union Village in Ruislip, where they have a similar design issue. The value of the contract was £120,000.”

The Keston Duet is a harmonised blend of the Keston Celsius 25 modulating condensing boiler and the Keston unvented Spa water storage cylinder with full controls.

The easy-to-install SEDBUK A rated floor-standing Duet rig is fully pre-wired, pre-assembled and pre-plumbed. The installer simply fits the system and adds power and water plus a room thermostat of the customer’s choice.

The Duet, which meets the demanding Chess HR2 recommended Best Practice system specification, is often referred to as “the ultimate domestic heating system” because no anode is required and the cylinders offer rapid heat recovery with dramatic savings through reduced boiler cycling and ultra high performance.

The Duet earned the prestigious H&V News Award for Domestic H&V Product of the Year in 2002.
