KESTON RACES TO ACTION
AT HONDA FORMULA ONE
Keston Boilers has supplied a bespoke rig
to Honda Racing Development Ltd (HRD) that will provide
all heating and domestic hot water (DHW) needs to its
engine production facility, in Bracknell. HRD supplies
the F1 racing engines that power Honda Racing and Super
Aguri F1 teams.
The rig incorporates two C55 boilers,
pressurisation set and expansion vessel, and will provide
heating and
hot water for the three-storey office facility at HRD.
Keston
won the contract for its ability to tailor products
to a customer’s specific needs. In this instance,
the project required a low-height rig, as space in
the plant room was severely restricted, so a solution
was
sought that could be manoeuvred into position and
connected to the system, with minimal downtime.
As a company,
Honda also upholds a strong environmental
ethos, so a manufacturer that could deliver a custom-built,
efficient solution was key. Keston’s complete
range of heating solutions carry a SEDBUK A-rating,
and can
save up to 30 per cent on heating bills.
The rig
was installed by S&J Industrial Pipework
of Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, who worked closely
with Keston throughout the project to ensure the
correct boiler plant specification. Established
in 1972, S&J
Industrial Pipework is a company committed to quality
products and only installs Keston boilers to its
extensive customer base.
Keston’s modular rig design means
almost any heating output can be achieved, and all of
its units are SEDBUK A-rated, ensuring peak operating
efficiencies and minimum running costs. Rigs are delivered
to site pre-assembled and pre-piped, and include an integral
weather compensation control.
All rigs are built to order
and Keston guarantee a quick turnaround, from order
to delivery.
