22 DUETS FOR WEST FENTON, A SYMPHONY FOR KESTON
For the heating requirements of the
new 22-luxury home, West Fenton Steading development
in Scotland, Keston Boilers was specified to supply
22 Duet prefabricated boiler and cylinder units, meeting
all the facilities’ heating and hot water needs,
in an often harsh and variable climate.
The development, featuring one to four-bedroomed homes in East Lothian, 20 miles east of Edinburgh, has been described as ‘rural living at its best.’ Complementing this environment, Keston units provided an eco-friendly and hassle-free solution. The Duet, made up of the Celsius 25 modulating condensing boiler, the unvented Spa hot water storage cylinder and full controls, provides thermostatically controlled underfloor heating to all room and corridors.
Nick Stevenson, managing director of Keston Boilers, said: “We are delighted to showcase a cluster of our products in the heart of the Scottish countryside. The Duets were the ideal solution for the development’s needs, offering both quiet and high performance, fuel-efficiency and uniformity.”
The Duets are Sedbuk A-rated, fully modulating and easy to install. The units are fully pre-wired, pre-assembled and pre-plumbed floor-standing rigs. They are often referred to as the ‘ultimate domestic heating system,’ as no anode is required and the cylinders offer rapid heat recovery with dramatic savings through reduced boiler cycling and Sedbuk A performance. In 2002, the Duet earned the prestigious H&V News Award for Domestic H&V Product of the Year.
The units feature a 7kW to 25kW output range, boiler frost-protection thermostat and a two-channel programmer.
