KESTON APPROVED AS PART L COURSE CENTRE

Keston Boilers Limited, a leading designer and manufacturer of high efficiency domestic and commercial boilers, has been registered as an approved centre for the new ‘Certificate In Energy Efficiency For Domestic Heating’ training course, a soon-to-be mandatory qualification for installers.

The scheme is an alternative to the ‘City & Guilds 6084 Energy Efficiency For Domestic Installers’ course and has equal status. Keston Boilers is one of the few manufacturers to have obtained official registration at this early stage in the course’s national rollout. The training course is expected to be available by early summer. To ensure maximum comfort for attendees, Keston has already initiated an extension project at its head office training facility in Bromley.

In line with Keston’s business ethos of keeping ahead of industry regulations and trends, Nick Stevenson, managing director, identified the significance of offering the new course ahead of its competitors, showcasing loyalty and trust to its customers.

The programme is a collaboration of Logic Certification Limited and the IDHEE, and is supported by EST, CORGI and the Energy Efficiency Partnership For Homes. It is fully compliant with the 2005 Part L building regulations and meets CORGI registration criteria.

The course will be available at Keston’s offices on a fortnightly basis, with the first training day starting on June 8 2005.
